SHORT-TERM: Blockchain And Digital Innovation Analyst IPSA-8

Organizational Context

The Istanbul Regional Hub (IRH) is UNDP's knowledge and advisory center for the Europe and CIS region, focusing on sustainable development through innovation and digital transformation. The IRH Innovation and Digital Team collaborates with UNDP's global DAI Hub, pioneering blockchain and frontier technologies for development. This role supports initiatives like the SDG Blockchain Accelerator and digital payments.

Job Purpose

This role supports the coordination, stakeholder engagement, research, knowledge development, communications, and operational aspects of key innovation initiatives, including the Future of Work Academy, SDG Blockchain Accelerator, and Digital Payments. The Analyst will contribute to the successful delivery of program activities, monitor progress, and develop knowledge products that promote the responsible adoption of blockchain, AI, and other emerging technologies for sustainable development. The position aims to generate practical evidence and scalable solutions to advance UNDP's work in digital finance, financial inclusion, and digital economies.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation of the Future of Work Academy by engaging with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), identifying opportunities for decentralized AI solutions, and facilitating pilot initiatives. Contribute to programme monitoring and evaluation, documenting best practices and preparing final reports. Assist the SDG Blockchain Accelerator Lead with planning, coordination, and managing country office and solution maker engagement. Support Country Offices in understanding blockchain and emerging technologies, and contribute to integrating AI into solutions. Engage with ecosystem partners and monitor programme implementation. Support the coordination and implementation of digital payments and financial inclusion activities, including preparing technical notes, communication materials, and case studies. Maintain knowledge repositories and operational documentation for these initiatives.

Work Experience

Requires up to two years of relevant professional experience (with a Master's degree) or a minimum of two years (with a Bachelor's degree) in digital innovation, emerging technologies, digital transformation, or business analysis. Experience with digital transformation projects is essential. Experience in stakeholder engagement, event organization, data analysis, research on digital technologies, and digital payment solutions are considered assets.
