Job Purpose
The Technical Associate in Social Policy will support the design, implementation, and strengthening of social policy strategies and interventions. This role provides technical assistance in developing methodologies and tools for public policy management, producing analytical inputs, and consolidating evidence for decision-making. The associate will also foster articulation between technical teams, institutional actors, and partners to ensure coherence and sustainability of actions. By improving the quality and impact of social policy interventions, the role contributes to integral, evidence-based approaches aligned with UNDP's strategic objectives, promoting social transformation with territorial and gender perspectives.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized technical support for social policy initiatives, including analyzing regulatory frameworks and designing/adjusting technical tools. Offer technical guidance to institutional counterparts with evidence-based recommendations and conduct technical follow-up on implementation, identifying progress and areas for improvement. Support inter-institutional and territorial articulation by mapping key actors, facilitating coordination spaces, and providing technical inputs for alignment. Conduct technical and operational monitoring, designing tracking tools, consolidating execution information, and preparing progress reports. Assist in information management by collecting, organizing, and validating data, maintaining databases, and generating information products for decision-making. Support operational analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and contribute to capacity building by participating in and organizing training sessions and knowledge sharing activities.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in social policy, program implementation, or a related area is required. Experience in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder coordination is highly desirable.
