Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The Technical Associate in Education role is integral to the Social Protection portfolio, providing specialized technical support and coordinating the operational implementation of educational projects and activities. The purpose is to ensure the effective and articulated execution of educational initiatives in line with UNDP standards. This includes monitoring work plans, products, and indicators, and strengthening coordination with institutional and territorial actors. The role contributes to advancing inclusive development, social mobility, human development, and socio-economic inclusion through education, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized technical support for post-secondary education and educational relevance initiatives. Support the operational execution of projects related to post-secondary education and educational transition. Apply UNDP guidelines and national frameworks for education and workforce training. Analyze the transition processes from secondary to post-secondary education and vocational training. Diagnose secondary and post-secondary education in Colombia through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Operationally coordinate articulation between educational institutions, training entities, and other stakeholders. Support the implementation of educational and occupational transition pathways for youth and prioritized populations. Assist in vocational and occupational guidance strategies with a human development focus. Support the organization and implementation of vocational guidance activities and informed decision-making. Contribute to adapting guidance tools and methodologies to territorial contexts. Conduct technical and operational follow-up on educational activities. Monitor progress, products, and indicators related to post-secondary education and relevance. Identify operational alerts and support technical adjustments. Assist in information management, reporting, and learning systematization. Consolidate technical information for reports and knowledge products. Support processes for creating, exchanging, and strengthening capacities.
Work Experience
Minimum of 7 years of relevant and demonstrable experience in post-secondary education projects with a secondary education diploma, or 4 years of experience with a university degree. Experience in technical and operational support for educational projects, preferably related to secondary, post-secondary, or vocational training is required.
