Job Purpose
This role supports the UNDP's efforts in Colombia by providing transversal assistance in the development, monitoring, and evaluation of Low-Value Grants (LVGs). The Auxiliary Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will ensure effective coordination with implementing partners and stakeholders, contributing to knowledge management and information exchange within the program team. The position is crucial for tracking project performance, ensuring timely reporting, managing risks, and supporting capacity development initiatives, all aligned with the UNDP's commitment to effective project delivery and sustainable human development.
Responsibilities
The Auxiliary Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the Project's Monitoring and Evaluation Lead in several key areas. This includes assisting with project performance monitoring, indicator review, data collection, and report preparation. The role involves supporting project evaluations, systematizing lessons learned, and strengthening Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems. Additionally, the officer will aid in reporting project progress, updating risk registers, and tracking programmatic information in institutional platforms like Quantum. Support will also be provided for the technical and programmatic follow-up of LVG agreements and partner agreements, ensuring compliance with established goals and indicators. Furthermore, the role involves supporting capacity building activities, disseminating knowledge, and maintaining data visualization tools to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.
Work Experience
The role requires experience in supporting project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Experience in data collection, analysis, and systematization of lessons learned is valuable. Familiarity with institutional reporting platforms and grant management is also desirable.
