Organizational Context
The UNDP Mexico office, within the Effective Governance unit, supports the AMEXCID-PNUD Cooperation Program (PROCAP). This program, active since 2013, aligns with SDG 17 and Mexico's National Development Plan. Its third phase (2019-2025) focuses on strengthening Mexico's international cooperation for development (CID) capabilities, fostering strategic alliances, and supporting the implementation of the Integral Development Plan.
Job Purpose
The Specialist in Interinstitutional Linkages and Education will be integral to the AMEXCID Executive Directorate, responsible for designing, negotiating, and coordinating educational cooperation initiatives. This role ensures alignment with national development priorities, AMEXCID's institutional framework, and Mexico's international commitments. The position contributes to consolidating AMEXCID's institutional capacity and strengthening South-South cooperation in Mexico, particularly in education and technical training. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring strategic programs and projects, providing technical input for educational cooperation, and fostering collaboration with public institutions, universities, and other relevant stakeholders to achieve development goals.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of strategic programs, projects, and actions in education, technical training, and capacity development. Provide technical input for designing educational cooperation initiatives and linkages with public institutions, educational authorities, universities, and other relevant actors. Oversee the integration, updating, and tracking of databases, records, indicators, and files related to educational programs, academic activities, and institutional projects. Lead work teams and interinstitutional collaboration spaces for the development of educational programs, agreement follow-up, and achievement of goals and results. Ensure educational cooperation aligns with national development priorities, AMEXCID's institutional framework, and Mexico's international commitments.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience in educational management and/or interinstitutional linkage is required for Bachelor's degree holders. For those with a Master's degree, 5 years of relevant experience is necessary. Experience in curriculum design, academic management, or supervision of educational processes is essential.
