Job Purpose
This role's primary purpose is to support the design development of projects for the reconstruction process initiated by MINVU. The incumbent will contribute to urban and housing design proposals by gathering, reviewing, and systematizing technical and territorial information. This support is crucial for developing necessary inputs for reconstruction projects, adhering to MINVU's guidelines and regulations. The position aims to facilitate the restitution of adequate habitability conditions, territorial integration, and risk mitigation in affected regions, aligning with the principle of leaving no one behind, especially vulnerable groups.
Responsibilities
The Auxiliary Architect will support the technical development of architecture and urbanism projects, including surveying urban-housing project plans and assisting with technical specifications. Responsibilities extend to aiding in the design of "renders" and supporting the preparation of budgets and technical documentation. The role also involves contributing to the development of architectural and urban design proposals for new and ongoing MINVU projects. Furthermore, the incumbent will provide technical collaboration for projects within the Reconstruction Plan and other strategic initiatives, and support knowledge creation and exchange relevant to the project. The position may also encompass other professional duties as needed for project and organizational success.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required in landscape/park architecture project design and planning, urban-housing development and design projects, and construction, project execution, or multi-sectoral management. Additional years of experience beyond the minimum are desirable, as is experience in multidisciplinary technical work, advising technical committees, workshops, and participation forums, and in facilitation and public presentation.
Skills
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCad, Revit, Sketchup, and Adobe. Experience with remote work tools like Microsoft Teams or Zoom, cloud storage, and collaborative platforms. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook. Fluency in Spanish is required. Strong communication, project management, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge generation, and relationship management skills are essential.
