The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Indonesia operates a dynamic Country Programme aligned with the 2030 Agenda and national priorities. The Financing for Development and Inclusive Growth (FfDIG) Unit is expanding its portfolio to operationalize sustainable finance and link it to the productive economy, focusing on inclusive and equitable growth. This role strengthens the unit's analytical capacity to develop investment-ready pipelines and translate development priorities into scalable economic opportunities.
Job Purpose
The Inclusive Growth Analyst is a strategic role within the UNDP Indonesia's Financing for Development and Inclusive Growth (FfDIG) Unit. The primary purpose is to drive the design, implementation, and expansion of the FfDIG portfolio by leveraging market intelligence and strategic partnerships. This role aims to position UNDP as a thought leader and key partner in advancing Indonesia's inclusive and sustainable economic transformation. The Analyst will translate development priorities into a robust pipeline of investable and scalable initiatives, contributing to the unit's mandate of operationalizing sustainable finance and fostering inclusive economic opportunities across various sectors.
Responsibilities
The Inclusive Growth Analyst will provide strategic analysis, positioning, and opportunity identification by analyzing the socio-economic landscape to find entry points for UNDP's inclusive growth agenda and developing new programmatic opportunities. They will establish and deepen strategic partnerships with government, private sector, development partners, and civil society, contributing to resource mobilization and influencing policy dialogue. The role involves ensuring strategic and coherent implementation of the inclusive growth portfolio, focusing on value chain development and market linkages, and providing oversight of programme planning, budgeting, and quality assurance. Additionally, the Analyst will lead internal portfolio/project management, monitoring, and operational oversight, ensuring effective tracking, reporting, and compliance. Facilitating knowledge and capacity building through workshops and documenting best practices is also a key responsibility.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience (with a Master's degree) or 4 years (with a Bachelor's degree) in sustainable and inclusive growth programme/project management within international development organizations, bilateral development agencies, or international NGOs is required. Experience in providing oversight and advisory services for complex development projects and a strong understanding of the project cycle (design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation) are essential.
