Job Purpose
This internship supports the management of UNDP’s Spanish-language social media channels and digital editorial content. The role is crucial for expanding the reach and impact of UNDP’s communications in Spanish by drafting engaging social media posts, developing creative digital assets, and supporting global campaigns and event coverage. The intern will work closely with the Social and Digital Engagement unit to ensure a consistent tone and visual identity across platforms, contributing directly to the organization's strategic communication goals and its mission to advance sustainable development.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include drafting, adapting, scheduling, and publishing engaging content for UNDP's Spanish social media channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. The intern will manage the Spanish social media editorial calendar, research and identify adaptable content, and create visual assets like graphics and short-form videos. Support will be provided for global campaigns and events, including live coverage. Translation and proofreading of social media copy between English and Spanish is required. Performance monitoring, analytics reporting, and audience engagement management are also key duties. Staying updated on social media trends and performing other editorial tasks as assigned are expected.
Work Experience
A proven ability to manage social media platforms and create digital content is required. Experience in a multicultural environment and awareness of political sensitivities are beneficial.
