Organizational Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Chile supports the Ministry of Education in implementing public policies for education, specifically focusing on the National Technical and Professional Training Strategy (FTP). This role is crucial for consolidating advancements and operationalizing commitments within the "Chile Crece: TP" agenda, acting as a strategic ally to the State.

Job Purpose

This role serves as the Program Leader for the "Chile Crece: TP" agenda, directly managing the Technical Secretariat of the Executive Advisory Council for Technical and Professional Training. The purpose is to drive the implementation and updating of the National FTP Strategy, enhance the visibility of Technical and Professional Education through initiatives like Atlas TP, and foster effective articulation of training pathways between educational institutions and the labor market. It also involves coordinating inter-institutional efforts with the Ministry of Labor to align training with labor market needs, ensuring the Council's dialogue and agreements address the productive sector's human capital requirements.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include coordinating the implementation of the agenda's work plan and directing the Technical Secretariat of the TP Advisory Council, proposing adjustments to ensure timely execution of results. This involves managing priority initiatives such as Atlas TP and Radar, and providing technical support for their design and implementation. The role requires strengthening alliances and maintaining fluid communication with national and international counterparts, advising the Undersecretariat of Higher Education on training-labor linkages. It also entails coordinating the formation and strengthening of networks with public, private, educational, and civil society actors, and acting as a direct counterpart in the alliance with UNICEF for youth participation. Additionally, the role involves preparing reports on learnings, progress, and methodological adjustments, and potentially supervising specialists and advisors.

Work Experience

The role requires experience in coordinating projects, developing strategies, and managing technical secretariats. It also necessitates experience in fostering inter-institutional coordination, building alliances, and advising on training-labor linkages.
