Organizational Context
The UN Resident Coordinator's Office (UNRCO) in India supports the UN Resident Coordinator in coordinating UN Country Team activities with the Government of India, aligned with the India-UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023-2027. The UN India SDG Country Fund is a pooled mechanism to accelerate SDG implementation by supporting national development priorities and mobilizing financing for strategic interventions. A lean Secretariat within UNRCO will manage the Fund's operations and communications.
Job Purpose
The Communications and Information Management Analyst will support the UN India SDG Country Fund by managing information, documentation, and communication efforts. This role is crucial for effectively communicating project outcomes and impacts, engaging stakeholders through various channels including social media, and ensuring the smooth operationalization of the Fund. The analyst will contribute to the Fund's objective of accelerating SDG implementation in India by facilitating clear communication, robust documentation, and effective stakeholder engagement, thereby supporting the UN's mandate and India's development vision.
Responsibilities
The Communications and Information Management Analyst will lead communications initiatives by developing communication plans and content materials, including reports, briefings, and social media content, to showcase project outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing presentations for internal and external audiences, assisting in the planning and execution of events, and analyzing project lifecycle impacts for various platforms. The role also involves managing information and documentation, preparing fund disbursement documents, and monitoring expenditures against budgets. Additionally, the analyst will support administrative functions, conduct specific analyses, and liaise with collaborators to ensure effective information exchange. Building knowledge through capturing lessons learned and participating in relevant discussions is also a key duty.
Work Experience
Applicants with a Master's degree require no professional experience. Those with a Bachelor's degree need a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in Communications, Journalism, or related fields. Familiarity with social media tools, data visualization, and experience with UN or international development partners is desirable.
