Organizational Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mexico supports the "Sembrando Vida" project, a national social program focused on improving productive practices to reduce poverty and enhance quality of life. The project involves agroforestry systems and is expanding to Cuba, Belize, and Guatemala. This role contributes to the technical strengthening, monitoring, and evaluation of the project's international cooperation component.

Job Purpose

The Analyst of Implementation and Management of Sembrando Vida contributes to the technical strengthening, monitoring, and evaluation of the "Sembrando Vida" project. This role involves proposing strategic lines and technical criteria for the project's international cooperation component, participating in the development of technical proposals for agreements, and assisting in institutional representation in multilateral forums. The position also entails coordinating administrative, budgetary, and operational execution, monitoring and evaluating program impact, and ensuring continuity between project phases. Furthermore, it facilitates knowledge development, capacity building, and the promotion of best practices and lessons learned, supporting the project's replication and expansion to new countries.

Responsibilities

Propose strategic lines and technical criteria for the "Sembrando Vida" project's international cooperation component. Participate in developing technical proposals for project implementation agreements in Central America and the Caribbean, and assist in institutional representation in multilateral forums. Integrate operational plans from beneficiary countries and propose harmonization of schedules, goals, and indicators for regional alignment. Coordinate the program's administrative, budgetary, and operational execution, reporting on deviations and risks. Oversee monitoring and evaluation tasks, proposing methodologies to measure impact on poverty reduction, social integration, and sustainable development. Prepare executive reports on project implementation (technical, financial, results) and present them to management and international stakeholders. Ensure project phase continuity and advise on expansion feasibility, systematizing experiences and developing proposals for dissemination and replication. Organize training and capacity-building activities, identify and document best practices, and contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.

Work Experience

Applicants with a Master's degree require no professional experience. Those with a Bachelor's degree must have at least two years of relevant professional experience in public administration and environmental matters. Desired experience includes at least three years in environmental, agricultural, or rural development, three years in the public sector (including supervisory roles), one year in rural development projects with the Mexican government, experience with governmental project administration, and experience in agricultural promotion in Latin America.
