Intern-Human Resources Assistant
Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Morocco supports the government with development solutions and coordinates partners for the Sustainable Development Goals. The Human Resources Unit provides strategic and operational HR services, ensuring compliance with UNDP and UN policies. This internship supports the HR unit's activities and contributes to effective HR service delivery within the country office.
Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide practical experience within a UNDP Country Office Human Resources unit. The intern will contribute to the effective delivery of HR services and support the implementation of processes related to personnel management, recruitment, contract administration, and capacity development, all in accordance with UNDP policies and procedures. The role offers hands-on learning in an international and multicultural environment, allowing the intern to contribute to daily HR unit activities while gaining valuable professional experience.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative support to the HR unit, ensuring compliance with UN/UNDP rules and policies. Key duties include supporting recruitment processes for staff, UNVs, and interns; assisting with contract management, including onboarding, extensions, and separations; and preparing documentation for HR transactions. The intern will also support staff well-being initiatives and manage leave-related queries. Additionally, they will maintain HR documentation and databases, participate in relevant training, and assist with the onboarding and mandatory training completion for new staff. This role contributes to the effective implementation of HR services and knowledge sharing within the unit.
Work Experience
While not strictly required, experience in client-oriented service delivery processes is an asset. Experience in cost recovery, recruitment, and HR training is also desirable. Familiarity with SharePoint (preferably SharePoint Online) and ERP systems is considered an advantage.
