Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The Project Territorial Analyst will support the implementation of the "Corredores de Resiliencia" project in the BioSur corridor (Nariño and Alto Putumayo). This involves coordinating with national and local entities, environmental authorities, and community organizations to consolidate sustainable processes for integrated forest fire management, ecosystem restoration, and climate change adaptation. The role is crucial for ensuring the project's effective execution, fostering strategic alliances, mobilizing technical and financial resources, and positioning UNDP as a key partner in territorial development. The analyst will also contribute to knowledge management, monitoring, and the application of socio-environmental standards, ultimately aiming to enhance local resilience and sustainable development.
Responsibilities
The Project Territorial Analyst is responsible for strategic coordination, project management, and institutional articulation. This includes supporting the coordination of funding for the BioSur strategy, ensuring overall project management, and overseeing territorial implementation in Nariño and Alto Putumayo. The role involves leading the territorial project team, guiding planning and execution of field activities, and technically supporting field sessions. Responsibilities also extend to verifying third-party activities, providing technical guidance for project actions, managing technical information, supporting reporting and monitoring, and facilitating capacity-building initiatives. Additionally, the analyst must ensure the implementation and compliance with socio-environmental standards and support local capacity strengthening processes.
Work Experience
The role requires experience in project implementation, territorial coordination, and technical leadership, particularly in areas such as forest fire management, ecosystem restoration, and climate change adaptation. Experience working with national and local authorities, community organizations, and managing project activities in the field is essential. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and socio-environmental standards is also beneficial.
