Job Purpose
The Technical Associate (Social) role is crucial for supporting the implementation of the Mexican Government's "Sembrando Vida" and "Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro" projects across Central America and the Caribbean. This position contributes to improving productive practices, reducing poverty, and enhancing employability for vulnerable populations. The role involves administrative and planning support for project execution, monitoring social components, and ensuring effective processes and beneficiary participation. It also plays a part in knowledge sharing, capacity building, and analyzing social impacts to ensure projects contribute to sustainable development and human well-being.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include advising the project coordinator on process effectiveness and beneficiary engagement for field implementation. This involves planning project processes in collaboration with counterpart institutions, ensuring participation of diverse and vulnerable groups, and monitoring agreements with strategic actors. The role also entails supporting the creation, exchange, and strengthening of knowledge and capacities through training sessions, developing tools, and facilitating participatory learning processes. Additionally, the associate will analyze and systematize social impact information, prepare comprehensive reports linking environmental results with social well-being, and contribute to improving project technical components with a social focus.
Work Experience
A minimum of 6 years of experience is required with a secondary education, or 3 years with a university degree, in areas related to social development, culture, or similar fields. Specific experience includes at least 2 years in implementing social, cultural, or educational projects, 1 year in logistical coordination of field activities, and 18 months working with vulnerable populations, women, or youth.
