Job Purpose
The Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Technical Associate will support the project head in the Peace, Justice, and Reconciliation area. The role is crucial for ensuring the quality of results-based management processes, including design, formulation, planning, implementation, and closure. A key function is to ensure the accuracy of information within corporate PM&E platforms like Quantum, working closely with project managers and the Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst. The associate will also assist in implementing project evaluations, capturing lessons learned, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement, thereby contributing to the effective delivery and impact of justice access initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Technical Associate is responsible for managing monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance within results-based management. This includes assisting project heads and counterparts in ensuring the quality of procedures and systems across all project phases, with a focus on monitoring and evaluation processes. The role involves ensuring the quality of data for corporate PM&E platforms and assisting in project evaluations, capturing lessons learned, and implementing recommendations. Additionally, the associate will track project progress, manage information, and prepare reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual updates on activities, beneficiary data, risk mitigation, and final evaluations. The position also requires integrating cross-cutting themes like gender, disability, and human rights into project planning and implementation, and facilitating capacity building for project staff and partners on M&E guidelines. Supporting knowledge management through data sharing and dissemination of lessons learned is also a key responsibility.
Work Experience
Seven years of relevant work experience are required for candidates with a secondary education diploma. Candidates with a university degree need four years of experience in Results-Based Management (RBM) for programs and projects, monitoring and evaluation, learning, and data analysis.
Skills
Experience with participatory quantitative and qualitative methodologies and tools. Experience in evaluations and technical capacity building for groups. Experience in monitoring and reporting. Data analysis and visualization skills. Knowledge of data governance and data collection techniques. Ability to manage change and support organizational change implementation.
