Organizational Context
The AMEXCID-UNDP Cooperation Program (PROCAP), active since 2013, supports AMEXCID's transition to an effective international cooperation model, aligning with SDG 17 and Mexico's 2030 Agenda. This third phase (2019-2025) strengthens AMEXCID's institutional capacity, CID policy, and strategic alliances. The Public Administration Associate will be part of AMEXCID's Executive Directorate, coordinating and supervising programs related to international cooperation.
Job Purpose
The Public Administration Associate supports the AMEXCID-UNDP Cooperation Program (PROCAP), which aims to consolidate AMEXCID institutionally and strengthen South-South Cooperation in Mexico. The role contributes to developing institutional capacities for International Development Cooperation (CID) management, reinforcing Mexico's CID policy (reception and offer), promoting strategic development alliances, and supporting the Integral Development Plan. This position is crucial for ensuring the effective authorization, coordination, and supervision of programs and projects across various international cooperation themes, aligning with national development plans and foreign policy principles. The associate will facilitate AMEXCID's efforts to become a more effective dual cooperator, managing both offering and receiving cooperation, and fostering innovative development cooperation schemes with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The Public Administration Associate will manage official correspondence, including drafting, classifying, and tracking official communications (memos, minutes, agreements) and technical files for the assigned Directorate. This involves comprehensive information management for cooperation projects, ensuring the systematization, safeguarding, and timely updating of all supporting documentation. The role also entails designing essential administrative formats and internal records for the Agency. Furthermore, the associate will coordinate the development of operational manuals for the area and oversee the timely monitoring of office inventories, encompassing supplies, equipment, and the preparation of relevant reports. These duties are critical for maintaining efficient administrative operations and robust project support within AMEXCID's international cooperation framework.
Work Experience
Candidates with a high school diploma require 7 years of experience in public administration. For those with a bachelor's degree, 4 years of experience in relevant fields is required.
Skills
Proficiency in PC, Microsoft Office suite, databases, and internet. Experience in multidisciplinary team environments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in administrative and documentary management. Desired: Experience in generating administrative reports, public/private sector administrative processes, and project management including documentation and follow-up.
