Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to significantly contribute to the institutional consolidation of AMEXCID and the strengthening of South-South Cooperation in Mexico, aligning with the broader objectives of the AMEXCID-UNDP Cooperation Program. The incumbent will achieve this by conducting in-depth analyses of political, social, and security contexts in partner countries, developing strategic long-term scenarios for global development trends, and proactively identifying new opportunities where Mexico can consolidate its regional leadership. A key contribution involves actively assisting in the integration and seamless execution of international cooperation programs and projects through participation in institutional meetings. Furthermore, the role is crucial for informed decision-making processes by preparing comprehensive strategic reports and political analysis documents, and ensuring the meticulous logistical and operational coordination of high-level meetings, forums, and international delegations. This position directly supports AMEXCID's efforts to enhance its national capacities and foster strategic partnerships for development.
Responsibilities
The Analista en Vinculación Interinstitucional will perform a variety of duties to bolster international cooperation initiatives. This includes conducting comprehensive analytical work, specifically analyzing the political, social, and security contexts of recipient and partner countries to inform the effective planning and implementation of technical, scientific, or financial cooperation programs. The role also involves strategic foresight, developing medium to long-term scenarios on global development trends and proactively identifying new areas where Mexico can strengthen its regional leadership and influence in international development. Furthermore, the incumbent will actively engage in institutional liaison, participating in and assisting with meetings involving diverse Mexican and international institutions across the region, focusing on the integration and seamless execution of international cooperation programs, projects, and related actions. A critical function is the production of knowledge products, encompassing the preparation of strategic reports and political analysis documents, which provide crucial insights and recommendations for informed decision-making regarding ongoing projects. Finally, the role is responsible for operational coordination, managing the logistical, operational, and protocol aspects for high-level meetings, forums, and visits by foreign delegations, ensuring their smooth and effective execution within the framework of cooperation initiatives.
Work Experience
For candidates with a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience providing advisory services within Public Administration is required. For candidates holding a Master's degree, 2 years of experience in the aforementioned fields are necessary.
Skills
Required skills include proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with negotiation and public relations abilities. General knowledge of political analysis is also essential.
