Organizational Context
The AMEXCID-UNDP Cooperation Program (PROCAP), active since 2013, supports Mexico's International Development Cooperation System, aligning with SDG 17. Its goal is to strengthen AMEXCID's institutional capacity and South-South Cooperation. This role, an IT and Digital Transformation Associate, is situated within AMEXCID's Executive Directorate, coordinating program implementation and monitoring.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to significantly contribute to the AMEXCID-UNDP Cooperation Program (PROCAP), which aims to consolidate AMEXCID's institutional framework and bolster South-South Cooperation in Mexico. The Associate will play a crucial part in achieving PROCAP's four main results: enhancing institutional capacities for International Development Cooperation (CID) management, strengthening Mexico's CID policy in both reception and offering modalities, fostering strategic alliances for development, and supporting the Integral Development Plan's implementation. This involves managing and monitoring international cooperation program indicators, automating data verification processes across various cooperation project databases, generating user-centric reports with data narratives, assisting in the digitalization of historical records, and providing essential technical operational support to users of internal data management systems. The role is instrumental in driving AMEXCID's digital transformation and ensuring effective program delivery.
Responsibilities
The Associate in Information Technology and Digital Transformation will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and digital capabilities of AMEXCID's cooperation programs. Core responsibilities include managing and continuously monitoring indicators and control panels for various International Cooperation initiatives, ensuring that program performance is accurately tracked and reported. A significant part of the role involves automating data verification processes across multiple databases related to cooperation projects, thereby streamlining operations, reducing manual effort, and improving data reliability. The Associate will also be tasked with generating comprehensive and user-friendly reports, presenting data with clear narratives to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning within the organization. Furthermore, they will actively support the digitalization of historical records, a crucial effort to modernize AMEXCID's archives, improve data accessibility, and ensure long-term preservation of institutional knowledge. Providing operational technical support to users of internal data management systems is another key duty, ensuring that all stakeholders can effectively utilize these tools. This role also encompasses coordinating the implementation and follow-up of international cooperation programs and projects within the AMEXCID Executive Directorate, collaborating closely with relevant cooperating institutions to ensure the successful execution of international cooperation reception programs in strict adherence to established guidelines and objectives.
Work Experience
Candidates with a high school diploma require 7 years of experience in public administration and information technology. Those with a Bachelor's degree need 4 years of experience in the aforementioned fields.
Skills
Intermediate Excel proficiency or database administration skills. Experience in Mexican Public Administration (federal, state, or municipal). Data reporting experience. Desirable skills include knowledge of Power BI and Excel for strategic indicator monitoring, experience in database platform implementation and administration, and knowledge of IT project management.
