Organizational Context
The AMEXCID-PNUD Cooperation Program (PROCAP), active since 2013, supports Mexico's International Development Cooperation (CID) efforts aligned with SDG 17. In its third phase (2019-2025), it aims to strengthen AMEXCID's institutional capacities, enhance its CID policy (reception and offer), and foster strategic alliances. This role is part of AMEXCID's Executive Directorate.
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for designing, negotiating, coordinating, and monitoring educational and cultural cooperation agreements and conventions. The Specialist will ensure alignment with national development priorities, AMEXCID's institutional framework, and Mexico's international commitments. The purpose is to contribute to the institutional consolidation of AMEXCID and strengthen South-South Cooperation in Mexico by developing institutional capacities, enhancing CID policy, promoting strategic alliances, and supporting the Integral Development Plan. This involves strategic analysis, technical input for decision-making, and managing high-level meetings related to education, culture, and international cooperation.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing and overseeing educational and cultural agreements with national and international stakeholders. The role involves preparing strategic and technical analyses to inform AMEXCID's Executive Directorate on educational and cultural alliances. It also requires promoting and coordinating institutional linkages to integrate strategic projects in education and culture. Furthermore, the Specialist will manage high-level meetings on topics related to education, culture, and international cooperation. The position is integral to the design, negotiation, coordination, and follow-up of educational cooperation agreements, ensuring their alignment with national development priorities and international commitments.
Work Experience
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree require 7 years of experience in the education sector, cultural projects, and project management. Those with a Master's degree need 5 years of relevant experience in these fields. Experience in public policy, federal educational policies, and institutional communication is also necessary.
Skills
Required skills include experience/knowledge of public policies and federal educational policies. Strong institutional communication and high-level representation capabilities are essential.
