The Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy (BERA) positions UNDP as a leading global development network, fostering strategic relationships and alliances to achieve its mission. BERA leads on innovative partnerships, financing for the Sustainable Development Goals, and external communications, setting corporate standards across these functions. The Photo-Video Analyst role is within the Digital Communications Studio, reporting to the Digital Production Lead.
Job Purpose
The Photo-Video Analyst will enhance UNDP's visual communications capabilities through professional and creative photography and videography. This role involves producing high-quality video content for various UNDP communications products, including donor visibility, impact efforts, and crisis response work. The analyst will also create broadcast edits, visual content for campaigns and events, and multimedia assets for corporate partnerships and social media. Additionally, the position supports the digital asset management system by ensuring quality control and adherence to professional standards, contributing to UNDP's overall brand and mission.
Responsibilities
Produce high-quality video content for UNDP communications, including editing interviews with donors, partners, and celebrities, and content for crisis response. Create broadcast edits with scripts for media distribution. Develop visual content such as videos, slideshows, and infographics to showcase UNDP's programmatic work for campaigns and events. Support corporate partnerships by producing photo, video, and multimedia stories for social media and high-level engagements. Edit multimedia content from events and for executive leadership. Provide quality control for assets in the digital asset management system (DAM) to ensure professional standards. Develop stakeholder mapping to identify needs and enhance engagement. Document best practices and lessons learned from projects and partners.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required for candidates with a Master's degree, and four years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience should encompass video/photo production, digital marketing, social media, filming, scripting, storytelling, editing, and dissemination.
Skills
Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite). Experience in social media video production from concept to publication. Digital storytelling capabilities. Ability to produce, optimize, and edit professional-level photographs and videos. Experience with teleprompters for recording video messages. Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems. Strong communication, digital awareness, system thinking, and project management skills.
