The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine is implementing a project focused on urgent recovery and resilience-building in response to the ongoing full-scale invasion. This initiative, supported by Japan, aims to address cumulative damage and immediate challenges from intensified attacks, promoting Human Security through integrated, multi-sectoral support. The project emphasizes essential services, socio-economic resilience, and transparent recovery processes, leveraging a 'Co-Creation' approach with private sector engagement.
Job Purpose
The Project Analyst will support the effective implementation of UNDP's recovery and resilience-building project in Ukraine. This role involves coordinating stakeholders, contributing to policy and analytical work, supporting capacity-building initiatives, and translating national frameworks into operational results at national and subnational levels. The purpose is to ensure timely delivery of project outputs related to recovery, resilience, and Human Security, facilitating coordination among government institutions, UN agencies, civil society, development partners, and the private sector. The analyst will also contribute to monitoring, reporting, knowledge management, and policy support, ensuring project activities align with national priorities and international standards, while promoting cross-cutting principles like gender equality and social inclusion.
Responsibilities
Ensure effective project planning and implementation by supporting activity execution, coordinating mechanisms with diverse stakeholders (government, UN, CSOs, private sector), and managing workplans and tracking tools. Facilitate partnerships and stakeholder engagement by building relationships with counterparts, conducting stakeholder analysis, supporting coordination with authorities and UN agencies, and promoting synergies with related initiatives. Oversee monitoring, reporting, and implementation by tracking progress against targets, developing monitoring tools, identifying risks, preparing reports, and coordinating with internal teams. Promote knowledge management and capacity development through organizing training, developing knowledge products, documenting lessons learned, and facilitating knowledge sharing. Provide policy and analytical support by preparing policy briefs, analyzing relevant policies and frameworks, and developing guidance for inclusive service delivery. Ensure cross-cutting integration of gender equality, social inclusion, accessibility, human rights, and do-no-harm principles in all project activities.
Work Experience
Applicants with a Master's degree are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in programme/project operations, procurement coordination, finance, and administration at the national or international level. Desirable experience includes project monitoring, reporting, multi-stakeholder coordination, facilitating training, and supporting procurement.
