The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine supports poverty eradication, inequality reduction, and resilience building. Operating across five programmatic areas, UNDP partners with governments, civil society, and the private sector. In response to the ongoing full-scale invasion, UNDP implements projects focused on urgent recovery, human security, and "build back better" principles, ensuring inclusive recovery for vulnerable populations.
Job Purpose
The Inclusion Analyst will contribute to mainstreaming inclusion principles within UNDP's recovery interventions in Ukraine. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects effectively address the needs of vulnerable groups, including women, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and veterans. The Analyst will promote equitable access, foster stakeholder participation, and drive inclusive recovery outcomes by integrating social inclusion, gender equality, and accessibility into project planning, implementation, and monitoring. This position supports the "Accelerating Recovery for Human Security" and "EU-UNDP Technical Assistance" projects, aiming to build resilience and promote human security through integrated, multi-sectoral approaches.
Responsibilities
The Inclusion Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation of inclusive project activities, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and integrating social inclusion, gender equality, and accessibility approaches into project planning and monitoring. This includes providing technical support for accessibility assessments and facilitating participatory approaches to meet the needs of vulnerable groups. The role involves engaging with stakeholders, including government counterparts, civil society, and organizations of persons with disabilities, to foster partnerships and gather diverse perspectives. Additionally, the Analyst will support monitoring and reporting on inclusion-related indicators, conduct field visits, and document lessons learned. Facilitating knowledge sharing through trainings and developing knowledge products on inclusive recovery is also a key responsibility. The Analyst will ensure the mainstreaming of gender equality, social inclusion, disability inclusion, and safeguarding principles across all project activities, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Work Experience
For candidates with a Master's degree, no professional work experience is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in providing inclusion and accessibility services for vulnerable populations. Desirable experience includes work in social inclusion, applying accessibility regulations, organizing training, and stakeholder engagement.
