Organizational Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a global organization dedicated to eradicating poverty, reducing inequalities, and fostering sustainable development. This role operates within the Economics, Sustainable Finance, and Growth department, contributing to UNDP's mission in Moldova.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this Data Analyst role is to support the Economics, Sustainable Finance, and Growth department by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform decision-making and program development. The role will contribute to evidence-based strategies for sustainable development in Moldova, ensuring that UNDP's initiatives are data-driven and impactful. By providing critical insights, the Data Analyst will help to monitor progress, identify trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of UNDP's interventions, ultimately strengthening the organization's capacity to achieve its development goals and promote economic growth.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include collecting and organizing diverse datasets related to economic indicators, sustainable finance, and growth initiatives. The role involves performing in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and preparing comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. This includes developing and maintaining databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and supporting the design and implementation of data collection methodologies. Additionally, the Data Analyst will assist in monitoring project performance, evaluating program impact, and providing data-driven recommendations for strategic adjustments and future planning within the department.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of professional experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or a related field is required. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques is essential. Prior experience working with international organizations or in a development context is considered an advantage.
