This role supports the project "Strengthening Capacities for Economic Impulse and Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals," a collaboration between the Mexican Government and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). It aims to enhance the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' capabilities in international economic affairs, including investment attraction and trade promotion, contributing to Mexico's strategic priorities.
Job Purpose
The Assistant for Economic Coordination will provide crucial logistical and organizational support for institutional activities within the Directorate General. This includes coordinating meetings, events, and visits, ensuring timely preparation of agendas and operational requirements, and producing essential briefing materials for high-level meetings. The role involves consolidating information across departments, maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders, and systematizing strategic and administrative data. This position directly supports the Subsecretariat for North America and the project's objectives, contributing to the strengthening of Mexico's economic diplomacy and international partnerships.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the logistics and organization of meetings, events, visits, and institutional activities for the Directorate General. Ensure the timely preparation of agendas and operational requirements. Prepare briefing notes, minutes, folders, and other support materials for high-level meetings. Consolidate and coordinate information with various departments within the Directorate General to ensure timely material preparation and follow-up on agreements. Maintain constant communication and coordination with internal areas, government agencies, representations, and external actors as needed. Support the organization and systematization of strategic and administrative information for the Directorate General.
Work Experience
For candidates with a high school diploma, 4 years of desirable experience in International Economics, Data Visualization, Statistical Analysis, or related areas are required. For candidates with a completed university degree, 1 year of experience in these areas is required.
Skills
Effective communication (oral and written), organization and planning, proficiency in digital tools and MS Office Suite, logistics and operations management, ability to coordinate multiple tasks, handling sensitive information, executive report writing, inter-institutional coordination, and data analysis for decision-making.
