Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide students with hands-on experience in the field of development, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge and develop professional skills. The intern will contribute to the operational and analytical support of UNDP's policies and programs, focusing on development finance strategies and effective development cooperation. Key objectives include understanding project implementation mechanisms, conducting research and analysis on development themes, supporting daily team tasks, and enhancing practical capabilities within an international organization. The role is designed to foster a deeper understanding of UNDP's operations and the complexities of development challenges.
Responsibilities
The intern will be involved in monitoring the implementation of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation, including statistical data compilation and the development of the national monitoring report. Responsibilities also include participating in the operationalization of the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) and facilitating policy dialogue on development financing initiatives, particularly innovative financing. The intern will support UNDP's work with the National Working Group on Development Effectiveness and compile/analyze information on green, blue, and other innovative financing niches. Expected outcomes include producing synthesis notes, contributing to working documents, actively participating in unit activities, and gaining a better understanding of UNDP's functioning and development issues.
