Job Purpose
The Technical Associate role supports the implementation of Wellbeing and South-South Cooperation projects for the Mexican Government in other countries. The primary objective is to assist the Directorate General of Special International Cooperation Project Execution with administrative and planning activities. This includes managing project implementation in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, and Cuba, as well as systematizing information and conducting statistical analysis of quantifiable project outcomes. The position is crucial for ensuring effective project planning, execution, and monitoring, contributing to the overall success of these international development initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Technical Associate will advise the project coordination team on effective planning and execution. Key duties include planning project activities in collaboration with counterpart institutions, monitoring progress with strategic actors, and maintaining updated statistical information through database generation and reports. The role involves designing and reviewing surveys for beneficiaries, systematizing statistical data from project results, and following up with counterparts on beneficiary-related issues. Additionally, the associate will support knowledge sharing, capacity building through training and information sessions, and the dissemination of project learnings and best practices. This includes contributing to knowledge networks and ensuring the distribution of project tools and products to partners.
Work Experience
A minimum of 6 years of experience is required with a secondary education, or 3 years with a university degree. Experience should be in public administration or coordinating teams for field activities. Desired experience includes working with state or municipal governments, logistics coordination, administrative activities for government initiatives, knowledge of the Mexican legal system, public administration for citizen-focused activities, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
