Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mexico, in partnership with the Secretariat of Women of Puebla, is implementing a comprehensive program to promote integral sexual education in municipalities with a Gender Violence Alert. This initiative aligns with SDG 5.2 and SDG 3.7, addressing critical issues such as adolescent pregnancy and maternal mortality.
Job Purpose
This internship role supports the Gender Equality Unit's projects focused on integral sexual education and gender equality. The intern will contribute to the implementation of strategic components like School Fairs, Community Activities, and Sorority Networks. Key contributions include developing informational materials, preparing activity reports, systematizing information, and providing general logistical support. The role aims to strengthen institutional and community capacities in addressing gender-based violence and promoting reproductive health rights, directly supporting the program's objectives and contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in Puebla.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and logistical support for the Gender Equality Unit's projects. Assist in drafting working documents, informational materials, activity reports, and information systematization. Manage the Unit's digital and physical archives. Support project monitoring and familiarize with ongoing projects, including tracking meetings, events, and publications. Participate in workshops, training sessions, and special activities related to gender equality and human rights. Collaborate on the development of Unit publications, such as concept notes, briefings, project reports, and manuals. Undertake other ad hoc tasks as required to support the Gender Equality Unit's objectives.
Work Experience
Experience in database management and information systematization. Familiarity with virtual platforms and digital tools. Demonstrated interest in gender equality, sexual and reproductive rights, violence against women and girls, human rights, and the 2030 Agenda. Previous experience in gender-related projects, human rights, or integral sexual education is desirable.
Skills
Results Orientation, Innovative Thinking, Continuous Learning, Adaptability, Determination, Teamwork, Diversity and Inclusion, Office Suite proficiency, database management, information systematization, digital tools, communication, and writing skills in Spanish.
