Job Purpose
The purpose of this Health Specialist role is to provide expert technical assistance and support to national partners in Moldova, focusing on strengthening health systems and improving health outcomes. The role will contribute to the design, implementation, and monitoring of health-related projects and initiatives aligned with UNDP's strategic priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals. This involves collaborating with government agencies, civil society, and other stakeholders to ensure effective and sustainable health interventions, ultimately aiming to enhance the well-being and resilience of the population.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include providing technical guidance on health policies and strategies, supporting the development and implementation of health programs, and contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of project activities. The role involves facilitating knowledge sharing and capacity building among national counterparts, fostering partnerships with key stakeholders in the health sector, and ensuring the integration of health components into broader development initiatives. Additionally, the Health Specialist will be responsible for contributing to resource mobilization efforts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with UNDP standards and procedures.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in public health program management, policy analysis, or health systems strengthening is required. Experience working with international organizations or in a developing country context is highly desirable.
