Job Purpose

The Communications Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing UNDP's visibility and impact in Moldova. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement strategic communication initiatives that effectively convey UNDP's work, achievements, and value proposition to key stakeholders, including government partners, civil society, the private sector, and the general public. This involves crafting compelling narratives, managing media relations, and leveraging digital platforms to amplify messages and foster engagement. The role contributes directly to building public awareness and support for UNDP's development agenda in the country, ultimately supporting the achievement of national development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with UNDP's objectives in Moldova. Create engaging content, including press releases, articles, social media posts, and multimedia materials, to highlight UNDP's projects and impact. Manage media relations, build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets. Oversee and update UNDP's digital presence, including the website and social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and messaging. Support the organization of events, workshops, and public awareness campaigns. Monitor media coverage and communication trends, providing regular reports and analysis. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive communication efforts.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or journalism is required. Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, content creation, media relations, and digital communications is essential. Prior experience working with international organizations or in a development context is highly desirable.
