Job Purpose

The Data Analysis Assistant will support the Economics, Sustainable Finance, and Growth department by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to inform project planning, implementation, and reporting. This role is crucial for enhancing the evidence base for UNDP's interventions in Moldova, ensuring that programs are data-driven and effectively contribute to sustainable development goals. The assistant will help in identifying trends, generating insights, and preparing reports that communicate key findings to stakeholders, thereby strengthening UNDP's impact and accountability in the region.

Responsibilities

The Data Analysis Assistant will be responsible for gathering and compiling data from various sources relevant to the department's projects. This includes organizing and maintaining databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The role involves performing preliminary data analysis, identifying patterns, and highlighting significant trends. Additionally, the assistant will support the preparation of data visualizations, charts, and graphs for reports and presentations. Responsibilities also include assisting in the drafting of data-driven sections of project reports and contributing to the overall monitoring and evaluation framework by providing timely and accurate data insights.

Work Experience

Previous experience in data collection, organization, and analysis is required. Experience working with statistical software or data visualization tools is highly desirable. Prior exposure to development projects or international organizations is an advantage.
