The UNDP Seoul Policy Centre (USPC), established in 2011, facilitates innovative development cooperation and knowledge exchange for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This internship offers exposure to UNDP's work and experience in international development.
Job Purpose
This internship supports the UNDP Seoul Policy Centre's communications and social media efforts, aiming to expand its reach, impact, and influence. The role involves assisting in the implementation of the communications strategy, producing engaging content for various platforms, and supporting outreach for public-facing events and external relations. The intern will contribute to positioning UNDP as a partner of choice and facilitate knowledge exchange on development solutions, gaining practical experience in international development and multilateral cooperation.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of the Centre’s Communications Strategy and Action Plan to enhance reach and impact across multiple platforms. Produce web and social media content, including visual assets and digital/multimedia materials like videos and e-newsletters. Draft, copyedit, and translate various communication materials. Conduct technical reviews of the website and social media channels to optimize visibility. Assist in knowledge management for communications, maintaining schedules and content calendars. Support the organization of meetings and events, including media outreach and public information campaigns. Document events and activities, and provide liaison and administrative support as needed.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is explicitly required, but a strong interest and training in drafting and editing documents, demonstrated research and analytical capacity, and administrative skills in organizing meetings and events are beneficial. Experience with social media and creative design tools is an advantage.
