Job Purpose
This internship offers students and recent graduates exposure to UNDP's work in international development and multilateral cooperation. The intern will support the UNDP Seoul Policy Centre (USPC) in its mission to facilitate knowledge exchange and partnerships for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The role involves assisting with programme activities, including project conceptualization, research, event organization, and partnership building. A significant portion of the internship will focus on supporting the conceptualization and development of digital tools, contributing to their refinement and documentation. This position provides a practical learning experience in development cooperation, digital innovation, and policy support within a global organization.
Responsibilities
The intern will contribute to programme activities, including supporting the conceptualization and facilitation of projects with UNDP network and Korean partners, drafting concept notes on digital transformation and AI, and conducting research. Responsibilities also include organizing meetings and events, drafting policy briefs on development cooperation and digitalization, and facilitating partnership-building efforts by preparing missions and proposals. The role involves managing project tracking tools and communication with stakeholders. Additionally, the intern will support the conceptualization, development, and refinement of digital tools, including web interfaces and documentation. Administrative tasks such as updating office calendars and work plans are also part of the role.
Work Experience
Familiarity with project management basics is desirable. Experience with development cooperation, digitalization, writing analytical pieces, and using digital tools like Zoom is advantageous. Prior experience with multilateral systems or bilateral donor agencies is also preferred.
Skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently. Commitment to UNDP's vision and goals. Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R) is desirable. Fluency in English and Korean is required.
