Job Purpose
This internship offers students and recent graduates direct exposure to UNDP's work and technical experience in international development and multilateral cooperation. The role is integral to the UNDP Seoul Policy Centre's operations, focusing on providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support to facilitate the effective implementation of programmatic activities. The intern will gain practical experience in a variety of administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth functioning of the office and supporting the Centre's mission to broker partnerships and share development solutions for SDG achievement. This position is designed to enhance the intern's understanding of international development work within a UN context.
Responsibilities
The intern will provide essential support for operations and administration, encompassing approximately 85% of the role. Key duties include preparing financial and accounting documents, managing office communications (email, calendar, contacts), maintaining records of publications and promotional items, and arranging appointments and meetings. The intern will also handle protocol procedures, coordinate information flow, and organize on/off-line team meetings. Additional responsibilities involve assisting with informal translations/interpretations, administering procurement, supply, and asset management, and offering technical support for internal digital tools. The role also includes coordinating intern activities, screening calls and correspondence, arranging conferences, supporting international participants' logistics, assisting with Greening UNDP initiatives, and drafting/editing working documents. The remaining 15% of the role involves supporting ad-hoc activities as needed.
Work Experience
