Job Purpose
The Natural Resources Technical Assistant will provide crucial technical guidance to beneficiaries regarding land adjudication processes and environmental compliance, specifically for obtaining favorable concepts from the Ministry of Environment. This role supports the operational aspects of field surveys, technical inspections, and documentation preparation. The position is key to ensuring the strict adherence to environmental regulations and the protection of natural resources, with a particular focus on water resource conservation within regularization zones. The role contributes to the successful execution of land titling and cadastral activities, aiming to enhance legal security over land and promote sustainable development in the Indio River Basin.
Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries on Ministry of Environment requirements for land adjudication and land use plans. Support the Ministry of Environment with field visits, technical inspections, and documentation for land adjudication processes. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protection of natural resources, especially water. Coordinate with Ministry of Environment technical staff for property validation and environmental compliance checks. Assist in preparing inspection reports, resolutions, and other legal documents. Maintain updated records of processed applications and payments. Support cadastral activities, including notification, disclosure, and beneficiary assistance with land use forms. Verify water sources and usage with local communities and authorities, ensuring compliance with environmental and sanitary norms. Participate in public exhibitions and title delivery events. Safeguard assigned project assets, including vehicles and equipment. Contribute to knowledge sharing by participating in training and organizing capacity-building activities.
Work Experience
Experience in technical assistance, field operations, and environmental compliance is essential. Prior experience with land titling, cadastral surveys, or natural resource management projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with governmental procedures, particularly those of environmental ministries, is beneficial.
