Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) prioritizes a safe and inclusive work environment, with a strong focus on preventing sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH). The PSEAH Team develops and disseminates engaging digital content and visual materials to raise awareness, promote behavioral change, and ensure consistent messaging across global platforms, supporting policy implementation and capacity development.
Job Purpose
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience within the UN system by supporting the UNDP PSEAH Team. The role focuses on enhancing awareness and promoting behavioral change through the creation of clear, accessible, and engaging digital content and visual materials. The intern will contribute to strengthening the team's communication efforts, ensuring consistent messaging across global platforms, and supporting the implementation of corporate policies related to PSEAH. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in design, digital content development, and website support within a critical organizational mandate.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the PSEAH Team in several key areas. This includes designing and updating visual materials such as infographics, factsheets, posters, presentations, and social media assets, ensuring alignment with UNDP branding guidelines and adapting global materials for diverse audiences. Responsibilities also involve maintaining and updating PSEAH-related content on UNDP websites, uploading and organizing digital resources, and performing quality control for layout, accessibility, and formatting consistency. Additionally, the intern will assist in developing online content, including web articles and visual storytelling, compiling communication materials, and preparing presentations for trainings and events. General support includes administrative tasks and contributing ideas for digital engagement.
Work Experience
Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma is required. Basic experience with website content management systems is considered an asset. The ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment is also necessary.
