Project Support Intern
Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo operates under UNSCR 1244, focusing on sustainable and inclusive economic development. The Economic Resilience Programme (ERP) aims to strengthen SMEs, enhance access to finance, foster innovation, and improve local and global supply chains. This internship is within the Economics, Sustainable Finance, and Growth department, supporting the ERP's objectives.
Job Purpose
This internship provides an opportunity to support the UNDP Project Manager in implementing the Economic Resilience Programme (ERP) in Kosovo. The role involves assisting with project activities, applying business development tools, and coordinating with various stakeholders including municipalities, SMEs, consultants, and development partners. The intern will gain practical experience in project support, data management, reporting, and communication within an international development context. The position contributes to fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth by supporting the incubation and acceleration of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises through demand-driven approaches and specific methodologies.
Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager in executing project activities and applying ERP methodologies. Assist in coordinating with municipalities, beneficiary businesses, consultants, institutions, and development partners. Organize and implement training sessions, and support consultants in follow-up with businesses. Provide field support to consultants for tracking progress and advisory processes. Collect and maintain data for programme monitoring and reporting, including updating administrative records and filing systems. Assist in outreach and communication activities, including preparing social media posts, communication materials, and brochures. Compile and update information on project activities, beneficiary progress, and implementation status. Perform additional tasks as requested by the Project Manager to support evolving project needs.
Work Experience
Previous experience in administrative, operational, or coordination support for project implementation is advantageous. Experience in preparing administrative documents, stakeholder engagement, and working with national/international organizations is desirable. Proficiency in computer use, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and web-based management systems, is expected.
