Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The Associate for Social and Inclusion Development is responsible for strategically coordinating the "Iguales" project's subnational implementation from Mexico City. This role acts as a central liaison between project coordination, participating states, consultants, and territorial liaisons, as well as new institutional actors and strategic allies. A key function is building and managing trusting relationships with state governments, educational authorities, implementing partners, and potential new partners to consolidate current implementation and expand the project into new territories, thereby contributing to the project's positioning and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include coordinating strategic planning and timely implementation of the "Iguales" project, ensuring alignment with objectives, methodology, and timelines. This involves maintaining fluid communication with federal and state counterparts, tracking commitments, and coordinating consultants and territorial liaisons. The role requires providing technical-operational follow-up, identifying progress, risks, and opportunities, and supporting the planning of strategic events. Additionally, the Associate will contribute to positioning the project and UDSE by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the educational, social, and inclusion sectors, identifying and managing new strategic alliances, and supporting the expansion of the project into new territories. The role also involves supporting capacity building, knowledge sharing, and the dissemination of project learnings and tools.
Work Experience
A minimum of 6 years of experience (with secondary education) or 3 years (with a Bachelor's degree) is required in social inclusion, human rights, gender, and/or youth-focused training. Experience in project coordination, network building, inter-institutional articulation, and working with diverse territorial contexts is essential.
Skills
Required skills include expertise in gender, women's studies, and human rights. Strong experience in project coordination, network management, inter-institutional communication and negotiation, risk identification, and team supervision is necessary. Experience in social inclusion, gender equality, and youth engagement, along with information systematization and reporting support, is also crucial. Desired skills include experience in project expansion, public-private partnerships, subnational government and education sector operations, and STEM programs with a gender and youth focus.
