Job Purpose
The Partnerships Analyst provides technical support and advisory services to the UNDP Country Office in Guatemala, focusing on developing, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This role is crucial for identifying new collaboration opportunities, supporting resource mobilization efforts, and ensuring effective coordination with partners to maximize development impact. The analyst will contribute to the country office's strategic objectives by fostering alliances that align with UNDP's corporate priorities and the Country Programme Document, ensuring a transversal approach to gender equality.
Responsibilities
The Partnerships Analyst is responsible for developing partnership strategies and identifying cooperation opportunities. This includes providing analytical input for the design and implementation of UNDP Guatemala's partnership and resource mobilization strategy, analyzing financing priorities, and exploring collaboration modalities with bilateral and multilateral donors, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), the private sector, and emerging funding sources, with a focus on gender equality initiatives. The role involves supporting UNDP Guatemala's positioning through briefing notes and analytical materials, aligning with corporate commitments and development effectiveness agendas. Additionally, the analyst will advise on, manage, and coordinate cooperation partners, supporting the identification and analysis of new collaborations, providing technical advice during negotiations, and assisting in the preparation and review of agreements. This includes developing communication materials, strengthening information systems for partnerships, and supporting resource mobilization strategies. The analyst will also coordinate institutional relationships, facilitate strategic dialogue, and contribute to knowledge management by organizing training and contributing to knowledge platforms.
