Job Purpose
The Logistics Assistant will provide essential logistical and operational support to the project team, focusing on the enrollment component for children and adolescents. The primary objective is to ensure the smooth mobilization of field personnel by managing vehicle fleet, fuel, insurance, and related administrative tasks. This role is crucial for the effective deployment and operational success of the project across Honduras, contributing to the overall goal of strengthening the national civil registry and identification system and facilitating access to public and private services for the population.
Responsibilities
The Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting the logistical management of the vehicle fleet and fuel. This includes assisting in the preparation of periodic requirements for vehicle rentals and fuel, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with rental providers and fuel card suppliers. The role involves ensuring vehicles are available and fueled as per the approved plan, coordinating vehicle delivery and return, and managing vehicle insurance claims. Additionally, the assistant will support monitoring and control mechanisms for vehicle and fuel usage, ensuring traceability and optimal resource utilization. This includes assisting with reporting, implementing control tools, monitoring GPS platforms, and generating alerts for deviations. The role also entails providing logistical support for field deployment, facilitating communication with stakeholders, assisting in accident management, and coordinating driver training and vehicle testing.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in logistics, administrative support, or a similar role is required. Experience in fleet management, fuel management, and coordinating with external suppliers is highly desirable.
