Job Purpose
The Driver will provide essential transportation services for the PHOENIX-RESYP project, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient mobility of project personnel, consultants, and visitors. This role is crucial for facilitating project activities, including the timely delivery of documents and materials to various locations, particularly between Yerevan and project sites in Syunik. The incumbent will adhere strictly to UNDP operational, administrative, and security standards, contributing to the smooth implementation of the project and its objectives in a challenging regional context.
Responsibilities
The Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for authorized personnel, visitors, and project-related items. This includes planning routes, ensuring vehicle readiness through daily checks and maintenance, and adhering to all traffic laws and UNDP security protocols. The role involves managing vehicle logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance records, as well as ensuring all vehicle documentation is current. Additionally, the Driver will offer logistical support for project events, assist with procurement-related transportation needs, and support the movement of project assets and documentation. Compliance with UNDP security procedures and immediate reporting of any incidents or concerns are paramount.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant work experience as a driver is required, demonstrating a safe driving record. Experience with driving regulations, rules, and laws, along with basic vehicle repair and maintenance skills, is essential. Previous experience with the UN, international organizations, or embassies is desirable.
