Organizational Context
The UNDP PROCAP program, active since 2013, supports Mexico's international development cooperation efforts aligned with SDG 17. In its third phase (2019-2025), it focuses on strengthening AMEXCID's institutional capacities, its cooperation policy, and strategic alliances. The role operates within the Executive Directorate, overseeing administrative units involved in international economic promotion and technical cooperation.
Job Purpose
The Assistant for Protocols role is integral to the operational structure of the Executive Directorate, supporting the coordination, supervision, and follow-up of administrative unit activities. This includes managing corporate events, handling event agendas, and coordinating logistics for seminars, conventions, and workshops. The position requires close communication with administrative units to understand event needs, recommend appropriate products and services, and implement cost controls for effective expense tracking. The role contributes to AMEXCID's institutional consolidation and its role in international development cooperation, aligning with Mexico's National Development Plan and foreign policy principles.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the management of corporate events and handling event agendas for AMEXCID. This involves assisting with the logistics of seminars, conventions, and workshops organized or requested by various agency departments. The role requires close liaison with administrative units to analyze event needs and requirements. Additionally, the Assistant will recommend products and services based on these identified needs and implement cost controls to monitor event expenditures effectively. This function supports the broader objective of strengthening AMEXCID's institutional capacities and its international cooperation initiatives.
Work Experience
Candidates with a high school diploma require 5 years of experience in event logistics and administrative areas. Those with a university degree (licenciatura) need 2 years of experience in similar fields. Experience in managing high-level agendas, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and preparing high-level events is also desired.
Skills
