Job Purpose

This role supports the design and implementation of market instruments and initiatives within UNDP Colombia's programmatic areas and global projects. The Technical Associate in Markets will act as a liaison between UNDP and various ecosystem actors in the country. The position is crucial for advancing inclusive development, economic empowerment, and peacebuilding efforts, particularly in territories affected by armed conflict. The role contributes to strengthening value chains, fostering inclusive employment, and creating an enabling environment for peace through market-based strategies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for the formulation and evaluation of diagnostic models, methodologies, and tools. Assist in the design and transfer of methodologies and materials to strengthen capacities throughout project phases. Monitor project progress, formulate recommendations, and ensure efficient execution of results. Coordinate with project teams and beneficiaries to implement initiatives. Manage administrative, financial, logistical, and technical processes, including grant agreements and contracts. Support the preparation of Terms of Reference for consultants and procurement processes. Facilitate communication among project partners and stakeholders. Generate inputs for project documents, operational plans, and closure reports. Support capacity building activities, knowledge sharing, and dissemination of best practices.

Work Experience

Experience in market analysis, project support, and stakeholder coordination is expected. Familiarity with development projects, particularly in areas of social protection, inclusive growth, or peacebuilding, is beneficial. Experience working with international organizations or in a similar capacity is desirable.
