Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is partnering with the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (ABIN) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC/MRE) on Project BRA/24/010, focused on innovations in intelligence for societal and state security. This initiative aims to strengthen Brazil's state intelligence through innovative solutions, process improvements, and new methodologies, contributing to the integration of the Brazilian Intelligence System (Sisbin) and aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16.
Job Purpose
This role supports Project BRA/24/010 by contributing to the digital transformation of the Sisbin. The Associate Solutions Architect will be integral to the ABIN's Digital Transformation Program (PDX), focusing on conceptualizing and designing technical solutions for the Sisbin's digital platform. The purpose is to ensure these solutions meet business needs, align with institutional objectives, and facilitate the sharing of data, information, and knowledge across Sisbin entities. The role involves understanding business problems, defining technical visions, and ensuring solutions are innovative, economically viable, and technically feasible, ultimately supporting the preservation of national sovereignty and the rule of law.
Responsibilities
The Associate Solutions Architect will support the planning and execution of technological innovation activities, ensuring value delivery and effective implementation aligned with strategic objectives and UNDP compliance. This includes overseeing the design of functional and non-functional requirements for systems and interfaces, guiding development teams, and monitoring project timelines. The role involves producing and reviewing technical documentation, such as terms of reference and reports, and systematizing project data for knowledge management. Additionally, the architect will lead technical meetings, manage operational aspects, identify project risks, and propose solutions. A key responsibility is guiding the conception of technological solutions, evaluating their compliance with best practices and legal standards, and assisting in risk mitigation and technical bottleneck identification. The role also entails fostering institutional articulation and partnerships, promoting knowledge sharing, and organizing training sessions.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in project management (with an emphasis on IT projects, innovation, or digital transformation) is required for candidates with a High School Diploma. Candidates with a university degree need a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in similar areas.
