Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ukraine is supporting national and sub-national authorities in early recovery and economic revitalization following the full-scale war. The Regional and Local Economic Development Programme (RLEDP) focuses on inclusive, gender-responsive, and sustainable local economic recovery, strengthening community resilience and aligning with national and EU integration priorities. This role supports RLEDP projects, contributing to evidence-based management and achievement of programmatic goals.
Job Purpose
The Monitoring and Reporting Analyst will support projects under the Regional and Local Economic Development Programme (RLEDP) in Ukraine. This role is crucial for developing and implementing effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems. The analyst will ensure systematic tracking of project activities, outputs, and outcomes, collect and analyze data, and prepare high-quality reports for UNDP and donors. By contributing to evidence-based programme management, documenting results, and identifying lessons learned, the incumbent will play a key role in enhancing programme effectiveness and achieving UNDP's programmatic goals in Ukraine's post-war recovery and development efforts. The position also involves promoting gender equality and a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Reporting Analyst will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive M&E plans, including designing and overseeing M&E tools and methodologies. This involves serving as the primary M&E focal point, coordinating with the UNDP Country Office, and ensuring systematic tracking of project performance through data collection and analysis. The role includes coordinating consultants for M&E activities, contributing to programme reviews, and supporting evaluations. Additionally, the analyst will lead the preparation and timely delivery of high-quality reports for corporate and donor requirements, provide substantive support for reporting packages, and review M&E reports and supplementary materials. The position also entails facilitating capacity building and knowledge sharing on M&E topics, analyzing evidence for decision-making, and ensuring the mainstreaming of gender equality and a safe, inclusive work environment.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant experience (with a Master's degree) or four years (with a Bachelor's degree) in Monitoring and Evaluation or related development work at national and international levels is required. Experience with computer software packages like MS Word and Excel is necessary. Desirable experience includes developing M&E frameworks, preparing donor reports, collecting and analyzing data, creating data visualizations, and working with implementing partners.
