This role is part of the Digital Communications Studio, contributing to the organization's digital transformation.
Job Purpose
The Web and Social Media Editor (French) is responsible for managing UNDP's corporate website and social media presence in French. This involves creating, editing, and publishing engaging content for French-speaking audiences across digital platforms. The role contributes to enhancing UNDP's global online visibility, brand strength, and digital engagement by ensuring high-quality, consistent, and up-to-date French content, and by maintaining the functionality and user experience of the French corporate website.
Responsibilities
Manage UNDP's global social media channels (Twitter, Facebook) in French, including strategy development, content planning, and performance evaluation. Create, edit, and produce French content for the corporate website and other digital platforms, collaborating with internal teams and ensuring consistency across languages. Review and edit web stories, headlines, scripts, and captions in French, and translate or review translations from English. Conduct maintenance and quality assurance for the French corporate website, monitoring for outdated information, functionality issues, and user experience improvements. Curate the French homepage to align with corporate communications priorities and facilitate knowledge sharing by documenting best practices.
Work Experience
Applicants with a Master's degree are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in digital communications, media, marketing, or journalism.
