Job Purpose
The Technical Project Development Associate will support the effective implementation and monitoring of development projects in prioritized territories. This role involves close coordination with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure activities align with operational plans and global initiatives. The purpose is to facilitate the advancement of project objectives, ensuring efficient execution of results and products. The associate will contribute to strengthening local economic development, fostering inclusive employment, and creating conditions conducive to peacebuilding by revitalizing institutional, environmental, private sector, and governmental ecosystems in territories affected by security or development challenges. This position is crucial for achieving inclusive development and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include generating inter-institutional articulation by designing and facilitating technical meetings and multisectoral forums to align agendas and build synergies. This involves identifying key local institutions and promoting their active involvement through collaboration agreements. The role also entails accompanying project monitoring and evaluation processes, including formulating action plans, conducting field follow-ups, and ensuring efficient execution of planned results. Specialized support involves coordinating activities with project teams, local allies, and beneficiaries, supervising administrative, logistical, and financial processes, and tracking contracts and agreements. Furthermore, the associate will support capacity building by organizing training sessions, disseminating lessons learned, and contributing to knowledge networks. This includes preparing Terms of Reference, supporting contract processes, and generating inputs for project documents and reports.
Work Experience
Relevant professional experience in project support, coordination, or implementation, particularly in development projects, is required. Experience working with local stakeholders, government entities, and civil society organizations is desirable. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation processes is also beneficial.
