Job Purpose
The Library Associate role supports the implementation of knowledge management and digital library actions within a project focused on improving the Brazilian Judiciary. The purpose is to ensure the technical quality of information curation, organization, and dissemination, maintaining methodological coherence and alignment with institutional goals. This position contributes to the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of digital library initiatives, providing essential administrative and operational support for knowledge management tools. The role is crucial for the effective functioning of the Enfam digital library, enhancing access to legal and educational content for magistrates and judicial staff.
Responsibilities
Support the management of the Enfam Digital Library (BDE), including planning, organizing, and implementing actions. Curate content and catalog legal and educational documents, providing technical and operational support to BDE users. Monitor and continuously improve the BDE, tracking usage, performance, and identifying areas for enhancement. Assist in organizing and updating digital records, documents, and archives, ensuring traceability and supporting knowledge management activities. Contribute to the production of management and progress reports for the BDE, including usage statistics and qualitative/quantitative evidence. Provide technical support for research and editorial processes, conducting bibliographic research, assisting with plagiarism checks, and bibliographic normalization (ABNT, APA, Vancouver). Guide users on metadata, research guides, tutorials, and cataloging. Ensure the BDE uses accessible language, international cataloging standards, and digital accessibility. Contribute to standardizing information management procedures and best practices. Produce diagnostic reports and guides on best practices in communication.
Work Experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience with a High School Diploma, or 3 years with a University Degree, in library science, information science, digital library management, information curation, institutional repository management, knowledge management, or related fields is required. Experience with IT in libraries, library management systems, and metadata tools is necessary.
