The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Brazil is implementing a project to enhance the Brazilian Judiciary through innovative methodologies, educational actions, studies, research, and tools. This initiative aims to support the training and development of federal and state judges and court staff, ultimately strengthening the justice system and aligning it with societal expectations. The project operates within the Strategy, Management, and Operations department.
Job Purpose
The Communication Associate role is crucial for developing and implementing multi-format communication actions and products related to judicial training and development. This position supports internal communication for program professionals and partners, both locally and nationally. The role involves creating journalistic content, institutional materials, and supporting communication strategies to engage stakeholders and disseminate project results. The objective is to enhance communication between the judicial school and its audiences, contributing to the project's goals of innovation and continuous improvement within the Judiciary, and fostering a stronger justice system in Brazil.
Responsibilities
The Communication Associate is responsible for creating diverse communication materials, including journalistic articles, social media content, newsletters, and reports, based on technical inputs. This includes adapting journalistic language for various audiences and channels. The role involves developing institutional materials like folders and bulletins to promote project actions. Additionally, the Associate will support communication strategies, propose content ideas, organize campaigns, and identify engagement opportunities with strategic audiences. Internal communication tasks include producing reports for project teams and assisting with infographics and internal communication flows. Media monitoring and press office support are also key, along with producing diagnostic reports and guides on communication best practices. The role operates under the supervision of the Project Management Unit.
Work Experience
A minimum of 6 years of experience is required for candidates with a High School Diploma, or 3 years for those with a University Degree. This experience should be in Journalism, Communication Advisory, or Corporate Communication. Experience in creating multimedia content for social media, using MS Office, and in oral and written communication is necessary. Desired experience includes working with the Justice System, in projects related to Education, Justice, and Human Rights, and with internal communication.
