The Country Office is undergoing organizational change to enhance agility and effectiveness in delivering on national priorities. The ICT team is central to this transformation, driving digital solutions to improve operations and stakeholder value.
Job Purpose
The ICT & Procurement Associate supports the UNDP Egypt Country Office by providing essential ICT services and managing procurement processes for ICT goods and systems. This role is crucial for implementing ICT strategies, ensuring the effective functioning of hardware and software, and managing ICT contracts. The associate will also contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including AI enablement and knowledge management, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery to partners and beneficiaries. The position works under the guidance of the Procurement and ICT Analyst and collaborates with various teams to resolve complex ICT and procurement issues, promoting a client-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
The ICT & Procurement Associate is responsible for implementing ICT strategies and introducing new technologies, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and developing Standard Operating Procedures. This includes conducting market research, advising on ICT procurement, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans. The role also ensures the effective functioning of the CO's hardware and software, manages shared ICT infrastructure, and implements cybersecurity protocols. Additionally, the associate manages ICT contracts and vendor performance, oversees strategic sourcing and procurement of ICT goods and services, and supports digital transformation efforts by identifying automation opportunities and providing technical support for ERP and AI systems. The role may involve supervising support staff.
Work Experience
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma, or 3 years with a bachelor's degree, is required in areas such as network administration, technical support, or cloud ERP environments. Experience in ICT procurement, UN system support, ERP systems, and ICT infrastructure management is desired.
