The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a global organization advancing sustainable development and the SDGs. Within its Bureau for Policy and Programme Support, the Digital, AI and Innovation (DAI) Hub leverages new technologies to support countries in digital transformation, data, and AI integration. This role sits within the DAI Hub, contributing to its mission of harnessing innovation for inclusive development.

Job Purpose

The Project & Innovation Support Analyst role is integral to the UNDP's Digital, AI and Innovation (DAI) Hub, operating at the nexus of digital transformation and sustainable development. The primary purpose is to facilitate the successful implementation of high-impact projects that enhance digital capacities and integrate AI into governance and development practices. This position is crucial for advancing the strategic goals of disseminating digital innovation across UNDP's global operations. The analyst will provide essential project management, analytical, and coordination support, ensuring synergy across project components and maximizing the visibility and impact of outcomes, thereby underpinning the organization's commitment to leveraging technology for sustainable and inclusive development.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive project management support for DAI Hub initiatives, including planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of activities to ensure successful implementation and performance. Contribute to developing efficient project management approaches aligned with Hub priorities. Facilitate project execution by coordinating resources and services. Maintain project documentation, work plans, and tracking tools for oversight and accountability. Support project closure processes. Analyze project and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement. Develop data-driven dashboards and analytical tools for real-time performance tracking. Translate data into actionable insights for management decision-making. Support project reviews with strategic and efficiency perspectives. Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders. Contribute to organizing workshops and knowledge-sharing events. Document project activities and outputs for effective knowledge management. Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster internal collaboration and learning.

Work Experience

For candidates with a Master's degree, no specific professional work experience is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in project support, business analysis, management, or innovation support. Experience in innovation, process improvement, developing dashboards, or supporting project planning and coordination is considered an asset.
